Permanent Installation 2015-2021
Forget Your Fear is a text-based work that opens up a game of readability through small shifts—Forget your fear, Your our fear, Get your fear. The words appear in loops, fragmentary and interwoven. This constantly changes their meaning. Reading becomes a spatial process, almost architectural.
As a permanent installation in downtown Cologne, this video loop ran from 2015 to 2021 on an urban screen (40×8 ft.) at the Giga Center. The project was realized within the seminar "platform 5:1" at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne with a group of art students.
Colors of Peace Installation
For the "Colors of Peace" exhibition, a site-specific version was developed: a 6:30-minute video loop as a spatial projection in the church. The sacred architecture amplifies the contemplative dimension of the text work, creating a dialogue between the fragmented language play and the spiritual space.
The installation transforms language into spatial experience, where the continuous movement of words generates both calm and irritation—a meditative process of reading and unlearning meaning. Within the church's acoustics and lighting environment, the work becomes part of the broader exploration of "Sound. Light. Color. Voice. Movement. Silence" that defines the Colors of Peace program.
