Intercultural Live Cinema and Music Collaboration

Project Overview

"Hot Spot on Chile" represents an ambitious intercultural artistic exchange that brought together German and Chilean musicians and visual artists for a groundbreaking tour of live audiovisual performances. This collaborative project, developed at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne in 2017, explores the intersection of live cinema improvisation, experimental music, and cultural dialogue.

The project demonstrates how artistic collaboration can transcend geographical and cultural boundaries, creating a dynamic fusion of European and Latin American approaches to experimental performance. Through live cinema improvisation combined with acoustic and electronic music, the ensemble created immersive audiovisual experiences that responded to the unique cultural landscapes of each Chilean venue.
