Live Cinema Session KHM

A live cinema concert performed on January 24th, 2026 within a Live-Regie-Übung (live-direction exercise) at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne, taught by Gerrit Lucas.

Together with Carl Ludwig Hübsch (tuba), Phillip Zoubek (piano) and Maria Cozzani, image and sound were improvised in real-time dialogue: the picture edited live as the music unfolds, direction in the moment rather than montage after the fact.

The visual material of the session came from my own body of work around Venezuela: the artist’s-book series ZeitRaum ZeitTraum Venezuela #1 and #2 (Sancocho), and the installation ¿Cuánto hay en el Pote? (2018) — re-edited and re-directed live against the trio’s improvisation.
