Donde Está Mi Acta is a platform that, beyond serving a functional purpose, also embodies a significant aesthetic and conceptual dimension focused on transparency and the accumulation of data. Inspired by Nicolas Bourriaud's relational aesthetics and the digital denunciation works of Fabián Taranto in the 2000s, the project symbolically takes on the role of the National Electoral Council (CNE) to shed light on missing results and restore electoral legitimacy.
Concept
In Venezuela, the vote becomes a ghost act. The CNE (National Electoral Council of Venezuela) controls the elections but hides the protocols. Where is My Act? is an act of digital resistance, a collective memory of what should exist but has been systematically eliminated.
The disappearance of these protocols is not a technical error. It is a control strategy. When an electoral system deletes its own evidence, what does that say about the democracy it claims to represent?
Platform Features
The platform lists all national ID numbers registered with the National Electoral Council, displays the associated polling station records, and provides a visualization with a plastic dimension. Through a plastic and interactive visualization, "Where is My Act?" invites reflection on the omission of results and underscores the importance of citizen participation.
1. Identity Number Database
Users can select an identity number, and the platform finds the electoral protocol of the associated table, displaying the results of that table (results that were never published by the CNE).
2. Email Generation System
Once an electoral protocol is selected, an email can be automatically generated to the electoral center, requesting the results for the associated table in an accusatory tone, thus giving a voice to citizens worldwide.
3. 3D Visualization
From an aesthetic perspective, the project attempts to reflect the totality of identities in a three-dimensional space, giving voice to the opacity of never-published votes. In a playful way, users should be able to visually understand the amount of unheard voices.
Technical Implementation
This digital file exposes the identities registered in the Venezuelan electoral system and their relationship to the disappeared protocols, without revealing voter identity and thus preserving electoral secrecy.
It is not a functional platform in the conventional sense; it is a mirror of censorship, an artifact of suppression, and a visual blow against the institutional vacuum. It has taken on the absent role of the CNE, but with an aesthetic intention.
Artistic Context
The project operates at the intersection of art, technology, and activism. It seeks not only observers but voices that amplify the accusation. Future phases include expansion to digital art festivals, collaborations with political artists, and the creation of a series of NFTs that transform this data into visual memory objects.
Donde Está Mi Acta is an invitation to look opacity in the eye. To ask. Not to forget.
