#050 Tras-Lado

As part of the Festival Internacional de la Imagen Manizales, Traslado is the result of traveling to the festival by car from capital city Bogotá to Manizales for about 18 hours over the Andes mountains by recording GPS signals, collecting images and sounds and writing that would describe the trip with over 15 stations delivering a meta level of the subjectivity of the action. After arriving a space was set up by using projections and materials collected during the trip throgh the andes.

Tras-lado is an artistic performance that plays with the construction a deconstruction of the image and sound of rural and urban landscapes determinate by the trayectory between Bogota and Manizales (Colombia) in order to constitute mediated geographies and geophonies. This intermedia concert implies a media cartography that generates realtime visual and acoustical layers.

Tras-lado is a collaboration project between the Academy of Media Arts Cologne and Universidad Nacional de Colombia.
